DJI phasing out support for older drones

If your inventory on the DJI shrine contains any of the products listed below, then the manufacturer wishes to let you know that they have either stopped or will be stopping service support for these products very soon.

“We hereby inform you that we will stop providing support services for certain products and their accessories through periodic assessments,” the company says.

“Because electronic products are affected by technological developments and changes in usage requirements, each generation of products has a fixed life cycle. In order to continuously provide you with premium product and service experiences, DJI regularly optimises resource allocations to promote the development and application of new products and technologies.

Among others, the company will be waving goodbye to the Mavis model of pro and enterprise drones, which were the first DJI drones to integrate Hasselbrand cameras as the image capture payload.

Support for the Mavic 2 Pro will be ending on August 31 this year, while that for the Enterprise Zoom and Enterprise Dual will be ending on My 29 this year.

Also on the May 29 deadline ins the Matrice 600 Pro, the now five-year old hexacopter drone designed for industrial applications and aerial cinematography. Its 6kg payload capacity supports and cameras.

“As of the date of service suspension, we will no longer provide you with services for these products involving product inquiries, technical support, and product maintenance.

“If you are still using any of the above products, we sincerely recommend that you upgrade to an alternative product of a new model so that you can enjoy our more recent, improved technologies, and we can then continue to provide you with efficient customer service.”

See? They have said, so we don’t have to.
